About
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been guided by an inner creative force. Ever since I was a child, I knew I was an artist. Before I became a painter, I expressed my creativity through ballet, where movement and music became my language. Today the canvas is my stage, and my brushes continue that dance.
Whatever I observe serves only as a starting point and my imagination transforms it into something uniquely my own. While my paintings may begin with a memory, an imagination, or emotion, they evolve intuitively through color, gesture, layered marks, and the unexpected beauty of happy accidents.
Over the past 25 years, my artistic journey has evolved from realism and impressionism to an expressive form of abstraction. In my early years, I painted a plein air, carefully observing the natural world emphasizing light and shadow articulating sketches. Today my work is guided intuitively without much fixed ideas or restrictions, which gives me freedom and excitement.
I enjoy working across a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, pastel and paper collage a lot of times combining them in mixed-media paintings. Each medium offers different possibilities, allowing me to follow where the creative process leads.
For me, creating art is both a daily practice and a lifelong journey of discovery. Through painting, I continue to deepen my understanding of my inner self and my connection to the larger universe. My hope is that my work not only reflects my own experience but also inspires, uplifts, and brings moments of joy and happiness to others. Ultimately, I aspire to create art that contributes, in its own way, to making the world a more beautiful place.
